| Tollers are supposed to love the water! They were bred to splash around the shore, waving their feathered tails to attract fowl for the hunters to shoot. But Duncan despising water and hates loud noises (perhaps the reason he wound up at a shelter) unless there is a d-u-c-k splashing around. Then, reckless abandon as he dives in after his prey. One night, in the pitch dark while on a walk at our beach house in Bethany Beach, DE, Duncan spotted a duck and dove into the muddy, stagnant pond in search of the duck. Two hours later, we finally got all the muck off him. | |
| Duncan's life took a drastic turn when Mom found out about Camp Gone to the Dogs held in Vermont. Imagine one full week of camp with your dog, doing all kinds of activities never before dreamed of. What a great time to try new things with your dog. For Duncan, it was learned that he has a strong prey drive regarding things like sheep and plastic bags! Duncan took a lesson on Sheep Herding which he failed miserably. "Herding" is not in his vocabulary - he just wanted a piece of the sheep. And then, Duncan discovered Lure Coursing! |
